Do the Radeon HD 2600 Pro and the Radeon HD 2400 Pro really use DDR2? Is this a typo or a serious way of cutting costs on manufacturing the cards?

not a typo, the same way last generation low end card's used DDR I, its used to cap performance, save money and in general keep things in perspective.

DDR2, it seems that only Radeon HD 2600 XT will use GDDR3.

By the way, HD 2400 seems a piece of crap to be. 64-bit memory interface? C'mon...
