I'm using compaq evo n1020v, when I use some application, the temperature of cpu is 75 degrees.(pentium 4 2.6GHz bus 400Mhz, northword cpu).
When I access to bios , I can't find where to modify the vcore of cpu.
Help me!

Hi,

Pentium 4 and Pentium D are known for being very hot processors. I wouldn't recomment a notebook with one of these CPUs! Pentium M, Core Duo and Core 2 Duo run cooler.

Since notebooks are "sealed" computers there is no way an average user to change this -- its cooling (or bad cooling) is a project thing.

The only solution I see (besides opening the notebook and maybe replacing the CPU thermal grease) is to use a notebook cooling solution like:

Or maybe contacting Compaq's support to see if they give you some ideas?

Maybe other users may have other suggestions.

Cheers,
Gabriel.
