Hi,
I'm the happy owner of a boomblaster RV-870, it plays AM/FM-radio and Cd's only. I would like to be able to connect my mp3-player to the boomblaster via mini-jack.
So my question is; how is it done? Is it even possible?
If anybody have links to how-to guides or know anything it is much appreciated!

Hello,
First a correction, you equipment is called RV-B70, and it is manufactured by JVC, and it seems that it is sold only in the European market.
Your equipment does not feature an AUX input. This is only available on the RB-B90 model. So there is nothing you can do; this connection is impossible on your equipment.

Since your "boom blaster" doesn't have an AUX input, you'd have to wire in a female mini-plug cable onto wherever the CD player is sending it's signal (which would effectively double up the CD input). This would involve opening your stereo, finding the traces on the circuit board that carry the analog stereo signal from the CD player and then taping the connection.
I think it could work. Try it on an old one from the thrift store.
Def a "hardware secret."
Once you finish this mod, you should try tailgating at the super bowl (that is if you can get super bowl tickets (http://www.sportevents.com/super-bowl-tickets-and-packages)).
*Edit: Sorry for being so late to the convo. My bad :)
