Hi folks,
plzzz guys I want ur help in this problem:
My notebook hard drive fall down on the floor, but when I took it off I heard that there is something is moving inside the H.D. I decided to open the cover of the H.D to see what happened, and I found this piece:

I didn't know what this piece is, and I couldn't put it back again.
so plz guys I want ur help in two things:
1- Is my H.D completely damaged??????
2- How can I fix it??? What is this piece for and how can I put it back agian?? cuz I have really very important inforamtion inside it. plz help me to fix this H.D.

the disk is probably damged beyond repair now anyway, due to the fact of you exposing it to normal 'air', let alone something moving about inside it
So dont worry about it now, you just need to purchase a new hard drive and put that in your laptop

Thanx for ur reply, but now I should throw the H.D in the wastebasket!!!!!!!!
Everything is gone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
is there anyway to recover the info????????

yeh pretty much, and IMO not feasbly no, maybee data recovery professionals might be able to but we are talking alot of money here

Your HDD is physically damaged. Opening the HDD only made things worse.
You can send your HDD to data recovery companies (look for companies that have at least one "class 100 clean room"). The majority of them allow you to ship your HDD thru mail. But this service is really expensive and should only be used if you really have important and expensive data inside.
