I play several FPS games and would like to learn about the saved games folder. My games are installed to the C drive were the operating system also resides. On occasion I have had major problems were the hard drive has needed a reformat. I am sure a lot of times this is fixable but registry editing and the such is beyond my current abilities. I would like to save the saved games folder to a second storage HD on my PC if the games options menu offers this option. This would be the no brainier approach. The other option I see is to locate the saved games folder in the installation directory and create a backup copy on the storage HD whenever the game is played or a short cut also on the storage HD that is updated each time the original folder is added to. I have looked for these folders but am unable to locate them. I have not seen any folders name SAVED GAMES but have seen ones named DATA. Inside these DATA folders is nothing I can recognize as a saved game. Im sure each game is going to be some what different in the way it saves games. If you can give me some basic pointers on what to look for Im sure that would help.
Thank You

Hi
It will actually depend on the game. You see, each programmer does things differently, so at one game the saved game folder may be called "sav_data", on another it may be called "saved_games", etc. If you could post here a list of games you are interested in learning where the saved games are stored other people would might help you out.
Cheers,
Gabriel
