Here's a snippet:
It is possible to transform your 3D video board based on the Radeon 9500 chip from ATI into a Radeon 9700 through a small modification of a resistor on the video processor ...

It is very important to notice that only the Radeon 9500 models that have 128 MB of 256-bit DDR-SDRAM memory may be modified. Inferior models, having 64 MB or 128-bit memories, do not allow their transformation into a Radeon 9700.
How do you say that, if doesnt exist 9500 with 256 bandwidth in the market (i think so). At least that say in your table of chips of Ati in Nvidia .
I have a powercolor 9550 i dont know if i can do this.

If you want to mod the 9550 then you need the omega driver's and it will attempt to soft mod the card to open the extra 4 pipelines.
what card is it is it the 9550SE or the 9550?

my power color isnt SE.
core clock: 250mhz
mem clock: 200mhz or 400mzh
bandwidth: 128 bits
i dont know whats gonna happen, if i do this phisical change in the little pins, not being the memory bandwidth at 256bits like the tutorial says.

i never heard that of open extra pipelines, my 9550 just have 4 pipelines

right first off no you cannot' 'mod' you'r graphics card
by transforming you'r card from a 9500 to a 9700 you are unlocking extra pixel pipelines thats what I was talking about anyway,
to speed up you'r card:
1) Use ATI omega drivers (Google it)
2) use this to overclock you'r card
