| Junior Member Join Date: Apr 2008 Posts: 2 ![]() | you cannot install 4 1gb memory modules, if you install more than 3 the board wont post, it doesnt matter what slot you remove one from. there is a solution in asus's forum involving a bios not listed (0702). Installing vista x64 with achi mode enabled is impossible with a sata optical drive. the drive is not detected to load the vista dvd and start the install. sata ports 5/6 only work in achi or raid mode. they will not detect using an f6 driver install and will not work after the install because x64 will only load the standard ide driver and will not load nvidia's the ports show in the device manager but a drive / drives will not detect.
