| Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2008 Sweden Posts: 576 ![]() | Hmm... This article is just about three years old and feels generally a bit outdated. Then I question who's the target for the article. It's not very helpful for somebody buying a computer off-the-shelf, where you can't pick and chose components. For somebody picking parts for a new computer it's not deep enough either... The weakest parts of typical off-the-shelf computers are graphics and RAM performance. (Even worse: At least here in Sweden the graphics hardware used is often described by its RAM size only! )Cheers Olle |

Yes, RAM memory is a redundancy just like MOSFET transistor and similar sentences. However sometimes I prefer maintaining redundancy to make sure the reader understood what I am talking about, especially when a tutorial or review is targeted to the Average Joe. Cheers, Gabriel. |
