| Junior Member Join Date: Jan 2007 Sault Ste. Marie, Canada Posts: 1 ![]() | This motherboard overclocks easily, way beyond what was mentioned in the review. The trick is to use WinXP freeware called ClockGen. I have it running stably at 280FSB, a 40% increase over stock (Sempron 64 2800+). I could probably push it a bit higher with tweaking, but its limit seems to be about 300FSB, where it crashes WinXP. I got the same result with another S754 board I have. I also read concerning that other board that AMD told board makers to limit overclocking ability in the bios, at least with Sempron CPU's, which may explain the big difference between my software result and the review's bios result. |
