Anyway, once you enter the BIOS setup, you immediately press CTRL+F1 - the menu will flicker very quickly and not appear to do anything. However, once you get into the MIT settings, you'll see you can hard-code the memory timings. I currently have my Geil Esoteria sticks set to 3-3-3-8 at 2.20v, whereas the SPD tables default it to 5-5-5-18 at 1.8v. CPUID confirms that this setting is enabled even without enabling MIT (or CIA or any of the Giga-byte stuff) and without running EasyTune5. Just an FYI for anyone who buys one of these Gigabyte P35-based boards and wants to tweak the memory settings....remember, I'm using a DS3P, though, so your YMMV. - Messiah |

While burning multiple large personal files over 600MB on a DVD disc using the external drive as the source, it continuously pauses for several minutes several times during the process and takes between 45 minutes to an hour with a 20X drive. I spoke to Gigabyte and they are aware that this happens "occasionally". I have found it happens every time. If I connect the drive via USB then there is never any pauses and it takes around 15 minutes. Any ideas? |

I understand now that the models with C like EP35C and P35C is models with ddr3 memory support. What about the "E" its not the overclocked features of the board because it just depends on the (rev.. part) like GA-EP35C-DS3R(rev. 2.1) and GA-P35C-DS3R(rev. 2.1) both have the same specifications.. But GA-EP35C-DS3R(rev. 2.1) and GA-P35C-DS3R(rev. 1.x) differs on the overclocked features (on FSB and memory) Maybe the new name for GA-P35C-DS3R(rev. 2.1) is GA-EP35C-DS3R(rev. 2.1) or maybe im wrong E means something more deep.. T_T |
