Unhappy Hard drive light stays on

Hello, New to the site so bear with me for a minute, I just replaced my motherboard from ep35-ds3p to ep45-dq6. I love this board, I finally got all the controllers installed. I had a little trouble finding the uaa bus driver for high def audio, windows could not find it for some reason even though I installed it from the gigabyte disk. anyway now my hard drive light stays on constantly and in performance monitor my pages per second line is off the charts, if it's not pegged out it's bouncing from top to bottom. The activity light flickers acts normal until the welcome screen then its on for good. It seems it started right after I got all the controllers installed or when I finally got the uaa driver installed I dont quite exactly remember cause those were installed about the same time. Any Ideas Would be Greatly Appreciated. Thanks Paul

Hello and welcome to our forums.

It seems like a device driver issue if this was not happening before you installed them.

I'd suggest you to uninstall them and make sure to install the correct version according to your OS.

Cheers,
Gabriel

Thanks, I finally got it figured out, just ran chkdsk man was my disk messed up, it stopped running twice had to restart computer, but now I think I might need another hard drive, which by the way is only two months old. A seagate 7200.12. diskcheckup has some bad news. I'm still using it till I can get another shipped in. reallocated sector count is over 2000. Thanks
