No mentioning about the price tag...

Other sources suggest ~$300, which seems pretty steep.

Are you willing to pay $200 extra to not get this:
  • PS/2 connectors (needed for my keyboard)
  • Dual channel
  • DDR2 support (cheaper than DDR3)
  • P-ATA (currently I use three P-ATA devices)
  • Floppy support (my drive is a dear friend that's been around for 14 years now)
  • SLI support (not everybody use Crossfire)

Other than that it seems like the RAM speed support is very narrow, giving this motherboard a limited ability to support future CPUs, released one or two years from now.
