The LCD gives me a quick heads up and lets me easily monitor what my PC is doing. The gaming mods are nice becuae they give additional info but require the user to take their eyes off the screen. The programmable G keys are great because you can macro them to hell and back to do ANYTHING you like. __________________ Omoikane v.3 MSI K9N Diamond AMD Athlon64 X2 5200+ 2GB PC5300 SoundBlaster Audigy 7.1 HD |

Apparently they are translucent plastic with the letter/number/symbols/etc. painted over them. After a few years of use they've started to fade. I haven't really tested the durability of my G15 because my PC is teh HUEG and I don't take it to LAN events. It does feel durable and key presses are responsive and firm. __________________ Omoikane v.3 MSI K9N Diamond AMD Athlon64 X2 5200+ 2GB PC5300 SoundBlaster Audigy 7.1 HD |

However after going to a LAN and seeing someone with one of these, asking them how often they actually use the LCD feature, they said never, makes me change my mind. To me the LCD feature (for gaming at least) is a distraction more then it is anything else. | |
