I bought one of these in early December and I'm glad I did. The keys have great response and feel. The LCD gives me a quick heads up and lets me easily monitor what my PC is doing. The gaming mods are nice becuae they give additional info but require the user to take their eyes off the screen. The programmable G keys are great because you can macro them to hell and back to do ANYTHING you like.

Ive been thinking on buying one of these, but I have been going through keyboards at the rate of 1 every 3 months. At 85$ a pop, gets kinda spendy. These may be more durable,I dont know.My G5 mouse seems to be holding up longer than any other mouse Ive used{about a year now},so I may try it.Last cheap keyboard I bought has sticky keys Not much of a selection here in Homer Ak.

My room mate has a Saitek keyboard with a metal case. It's durable enough to withstand Armageddon but the keys are starting to wear out. Apparently they are translucent plastic with the letter/number/symbols/etc. painted over them. After a few years of use they've started to fade.

I haven't really tested the durability of my G15 because my PC is teh HUEG and I don't take it to LAN events. It does feel durable and key presses are responsive and firm.

Sorry to open an old post but im putting together a new machine and was thinking about getting a type of KB similar to this.

However after going to a LAN and seeing someone with one of these, asking them how often they actually use the LCD feature, they said never, makes me change my mind.

To me the LCD feature (for gaming at least) is a distraction more then it is anything else.
