Default Maximum CPU Temperature

There has been a new article posted.

Title: Maximum CPU Temperature
URL: http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/artic...cat=cpu&id=143

Here's a snippet:
A lot of users want to know*what is the maximum temperature processors can work at, seeing that all processors currently heat up a lot and many coolers available on the market are unable to cool them ...

Comments on this article are welcome.

Thanks for making available this info. I'm pretty surprised you haven't received more (any) comments yet, since it seems the most complete version out on the web (?)

I have an Intel(r) Celeron(r) 3.06 Ghz processor. Is that the same as the "Celeron 400 Series", "Celeron D" (doubtful), or "Celeron" processor? I'm guessing the latter, although the 3.06 Ghz model isn't listed there (page 7).

The nice little CPU-Z program tells me more info:
Name: Intel Celeron 346
Code name: Prescott
Spec: Intel(r) Celeron(r) 3.06 Ghz

However, it also has a nice graphic to the right saying "Intel Celeron D inside".

So maybe it's D after all? But then I haven't see the D 'tag' anywhere else (such as control panel -> System properties -> Hardware -> Device mananger

Any idea how I can find this out myself maybe since you mentioned a code on the CPU? (or if you have the info, that would be great, because it's a pig to take the heatsink out).
