Also, at that resolution, has anyone tried the Geforce 8500 GT to play Medieval 2 Total War? If anyone can help me out with those questions I'll greatly appreciate it. |

Even though 8500 GT belongs to GeForce 8 series it is really a low-end video card. We don't recommend it. In our opinion the best cost/benefit ratio is with GeForce 8600 GT. Cheers, Gabriel. |

Okay this will seem redundant, but I'm not a big gamer, and only play games like Rome Total war, and Guild Wars; I also only play on 1024x768, but would like to play Medieval 2--could this cheap card possibly fit the bill? I know this site pushes cards to the limit, and is for more hardcore gamers, so I appologize for taking up your time like this. It's just I do care about the price, and saving ninety dollars or so (Canadian) if I don't need to have that much video card power (8600GT) is a huge issue. You have extensive knowledge in this field, and of course what you say is true about the 8600, I'm not that much of an idiot; however, I am in a money bind and not looking to go overboard. Thanks so so much in advance for your reply. (I've bolded question so you don't have to read post entirely) Last edited by clueless; 08-10-2007 at 03:52 AM. |
