What about x1950pro? at newegg we can find it at 125,99 (after MIR)

And x1950pro is not high-end card... so why didn't include it in the testbed?? This would probably cast a big shadow on the DX10 8600GT

Hi,

We depend on the manufacturers to send us samples for review and unfortunately AMD/ATI did not send us any Radeon X1950 Pro for reviewing.

Also in our review we included only video cards with 128-bit memory interface. Radeon X1950 Pro uses a 256-bit memory interface, thus competing with cards using this same configuration.

Also, the lowest price for Radeon X1950 Pro is around USD 200, as you can see at Shopping.com:

Even at Newegg.com the card you mention is probably a very good exception (please mention the exact model/manufacturer so our readers can know which model to buy), because all Radeon X1950 Pro are around USD 175-220 there:

About only putting 128bit bus in the review is a risky move because if you follow this rule very often, you can stop having graphics to review, and then we enter in a stage were the exception is the rule... but some line has to be follow you've chosen this... that's fine by me... continue the good work

Hi,

I want to thank you for your suggestion. I was about to post a GeForce 8600 GTS review and after you brought this price issue to my attention I decided to include Radeon X1950 Pro into the comparison. I believe by the end of the day I will have finished collecting data and generating the graphs for this new review.

This will give me some extra work but at the end I think we will have a better review.

Yes... I had already seen and read that x1950pro review... very good... and on this one you put a 320bit and a 256*2 bit Graphics in the 'game'.... which is good for comparativeness...
