So what's the difference between OP1000-E and EliteXStream 1000? Rectifier type of +12V output?

Yes, the rectifiers on the secondary are completely different, being the only difference between them. Take a look on the SilverStone review at JonnyGuru.com to compare:

The math comes out right but the two transistors in parallel is confusing me. Instead of one diode per schottky rectifier its one mosfet per the two sets each in parallel???

Hello Merman,

Thanks as usual for posting your questions, this helps me improving my text.

Four transistors are used, two for the rectification part and two for the "free wheeling part". Thus for the math only two should be considered. This is the similar to what happen when diodes are used.

I am writting an update for the Anatomy tutorial, which will clarify this.

The results from this review were updated today to reflect AC power and efficiency measured by our new precision power meter. The updated results did not affect our conclusions or recommendation about this power supply.
