| Junior Member Join Date: Jan 2008 Posts: 1 ![]() | I was researching another issue but your article has me puzzled. I received a BD-P1400 free with my TV. I have had no issues at all playing standard DVD's like you described, all play perfectly in 16:9 mode filling the screen, no bars at all. (in movies with the proper ratio of course) |

| Administrator Join Date: Oct 2004 USA Posts: 2,553 ![]() | Hi, It seems that this was a problem with a specific movie that even though it was "widescreen" it was sending to the player that it was in fact 4:3 making the described problem to happen. This happened with two movies (Streets of Fire and A Night at the Roxybury). This Samsung player doesn't have a function to solve this -- or at least I couldn't find it.
