It sounds like this product would be useful with a liquid cooling radiator that uses multiple fans. All of the fans on the radiator could have their speed changed automatically along with the (seemingly optional) PWM fan and CPU temperature. Users of liquid cooling radiators with multiple fans (two, four, or more) know that precise, automatic, PWM fan speed control is not available on most mother boards for more than one or two fans. Allowing three pin fans to function along with the four pin PWM fan is a great feature for case fans as well, and is rarely if ever available on mother boards.

When it is said in the Weak Points section that, "There is no indication of the fanís actual state", I assume you mean it's speed, or if it is even running. That is a real drawback. Special cables could alleviate some of this, but only by using the mother board to monitor the fan's speeds.

I like the features of this unit enough to overlook what is missing, and it does seem to provide a function that is missing on the majority of mother boards and PC cases.

That's exactly what we mean. Some fan controllers have an audible alarm if, for example, a fan is blocked and stops.
