Default ECS P67H2-A Motherboard

There has been a new article posted.

Title: ECS P67H2-A Motherboard
URL: http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/artic...therboard/1132

Here is a snippet:
"Let's take a look at one of the first socket 1155 motherboards to reach the market, the ECS P67H2-A, based on the forthcoming P67 chipset for Intel's "Sandy Bridge" processors. The highlights of this ..."

Comments on this article are welcome.

Default Released or not?

Maybe a pedantic point, but how can a board have "reached the market" based on a "forthcoming" chipset? This would seem to imply that they ship you the board without the chipset and you have to solder them in yourself when Intel release them!
Maybe this is a question for Intel, but this strange state of affairs surely at least merits some comment in the article?

Default A mispint. A suggestion.

Hello, Gabriel, and thank you for a preview (the first look) of the item.

On page 7 you wrote "Memory: Six DDR3-DIMM sockets (up to 16 GB up to DDR3-2133 thru overclocking)". Obviously, the word "Six" is a misprint here.

Also, it might be educating for many multi-GPU PC users to see the "investigation" results on Lucid HydraLogix 200 processor.

With Respect.

Not released yet. I though that the expression "to reach" would indirectly imply that this is in the future, but I guess not...

Fixing, thanks! As for the performance of the Lucid HydraLogix 200, we have here an MSI Fuzion motherboard with us, we are just in need of time to review this and mix and match AMD and NVIDIA to see how it works. The problem for us right now is finding time, both AMD and NVIDIA simply don't stop releasing new video cards!

Gabriel.

For a product this new I'd like to see a more in-depth presentation of the new chipsets and CPUs, possibly in a separate article.
- The Sandy Bridge is supposed to replace what current line(s)?
- What are the features of the new P67 and H67?

Cheers

"Sandy Bridge" is the name of the architecture. It will be called "2nd Generation Core i3/i5/i7". It will replace Core i3/i5/i7.

Intel hasn't released the official specs yet, all we can say now is based on what we saw on this motherboard.

Cheers,
Gabriel.
