Default Does Wi-Fi work w/o the Verizon sunscription?

A friend completed her contract period with Verizon and cancelled. Not surprisingly, the modem was disabled. But so was the Wi-Fi. Can it be re-enabled or must she add a Wi-Fi dongle?

Default Wi-Fi

My contact at Verizon assures me that when the mobile service is stopped it should not in any way affect the Wi-Fi.

There might be a problem with the settings or a hardware problem. Have her take it back to Verizon and see if they are willing to help her troubleshoot the problem.

Thanks. I'll do that. Failing that I'll get a CNet dongle. It's very cheap and runs at N-speed.
