A very interesting review and device. Free 3G sounds very appealing.

I would like to know... what is the quality of the Text-to-Speech? A sample we could listen to would be nice.

Also, does WPA2 work well with different brand wireless routers/AP? I have had several devices in the past the purported to support WPA2, but would only connect at WPA.

Hangfire, the Barns and Nobel NOOK also has free 3G. My wife has a Nook and loves it, but I am a little too fat fingered to like its on-screen keyboard. The Kindle would fit the bill on that, but not having native ePub support is a deal killer for the Kindle in my book.
