Funny thing is, my overclocked stock 7970's compete or best my overclocked Vanilla 680's. The 7970's were underclocked in my opinion at release. They can hang any day. Not a "fanbois" here of either camp, just pointing out that both these cards are VERY close to one another when both are OC'd.

would be nice to see an extra 50MHz on the 7970 so it ran at 1050MHz instead of the puny 75MHz OC AMD used if they'd done that then I could see the 7970 being the champ again

could we please get an 1050MHz bench just to see

We don't do overclocking tests with video cards... They are too time-consuming!
