Default AMD Cuts Down Processor Prices

There has been a new news posted.

Here is a snippet:
"With the launch of the Phenom II X4 980 Black Edition this week, AMD has slashed the price of several of their desktop processors. In some cases, reduction was up to 25 percent. See below the affected..."

I would have bought a low-energy "e" CPU, but when Newegg has even had them, their prices were always jacked into the stratosphere.

Yes, the low power versions have always been too costly. It's better to buy a regular CPU and under-volt it.
If that's possible is partially dependant on the motherboard, and my current board/BIOS doesn't provide an option to reduce the voltage at all.
