Did the deflector help?
Once you know what it's for it's self evident how to mount it. (It's there to help cooling the VRMs by deflecting some exhaust air down towards the motherboard. The deflector is mounted by squeezing it between two fins on the exhaust side, so that it's bent towards the motherboard.)

The value of this cooler depends on the price. There are coolers that are less noisy and/or more efficient around.

Cheers

No, we didn´t try the deflector, because it could affect the CPU cooling efficiency, which was the primary objective of the test.

Ok, but it is not obvious where is the point it must be installed.
