I know the Seasonic fanless units have a little lower wattage (400 and 460) but are modular and cost less. Does anyone know how the build quality compares?

Thanks. The short answer appears to be that Seasonic units are better.

Here is a very interesting email I got from SilverStone:

Quote:
Hi Gabriel, although the final verdict was not all positives, I think this is a great review nonetheless.

I only found one small error in the entire article though, is that the warranty of ST50NF is three years, not five. You mentioned that ST40NF and ST50NF are completely different designs (which you are right), the ST50NF's design lineage can be traced back to the ST45NF (released in 2009, manufactured by Etasis) and ST30NF (released in 2004, manufactured by Etasis).

I would go crazy with a fanless psu. I will pick up any little sound my rig makes and scratch in it looking for it lol

What was your response to that Gabriel?
I KNOW lol
