And don't forget to De-magnetize the heads aswell (via and cheaply bought Head De-Magnetizer ) do not use the one that just have a spinning magnet in them they do not do anything at all use one of these if you can find one

Also if you have tapes that are older than 3 years think about making a copy onto another Tape

and use high quality tapes like Metel Oxide ( not Chrome they can leave to much of a build up on the heads)

yeah no probs Gab... I still have a butt load of old tapes I listen to I really should convert them to digital ( using LP-Recorder) as some I can never get again ever and they're over twenty years old now
