Just to let you guys know that I've just updated this review in order to include load tests, i.e. to check if this power supply can really deliver its rated power.

Cheers,
Gabriel Torres

The results from this review were updated today to reflect AC power and efficiency measured by our new precision power meter. The updated results did not affect our conclusions or recommendation about this power supply.

Hi Gabriel,

I have some questions related to this review .
For what version of the Silencer 610 EPS12V is this review for? The S61EPS or for the S61EPS-B?

The protections listed on the page 8 of the review (Protections: short-circuit (SCP), over current (OCP), over voltage (OVP), over power (OPP) and over temperature (OTP)) are really available and working?

Thank you,

Buzai Andras

And another question
On the JonnyGuru forum they say that this unit emits some strange form of RF interference (http://www.jonnyguru.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2807). Is this true?

Thank you,

Buzai Andras

I have no clue. The only thing written on the label is "Rev: B2W".

Yes, as far as I can tell.

If it does, it didn't show anything abnormal during our tests.

Thanks,
Gabriel.

Default Thank you ...

Thank you for your reply .

BTW: What PSU do you use in your PC?

I am looking for a a PSU and I can't decide between one that has OCP protection but not OPP protection and another that has OPP but does not have OCP.

The Silencer 610 EPS12V seems to have both.

Thank you,

Buzai Andras

As a matter of fact, I was using this Silencer 610 W until I added a second video card, then I upgraded to an OCZ Z-Series 850 W.

Cheers,
Gabriel.
