Certainly looks like something I'd think about paying for to replace my two HD5770's with but maybe when they're not $100 + more than they're selling the US for

This card is probably ideal for less than 1080p resolutions due to smaller memory interface and overall transfer (vs the 460 and 6850). While definitely disappointing (if it was only at 6870 performance!) I think it's sort of a worst case scenario with a higher resolution and competing cards with 256 bit memory interfaces vs 128 bit memory interface (which I assume would affect performance).

The issue at hand is that there's no competition at the moment outside of AMD's 6000 series. Drop $30-$40 off the suggested retail and you'd be solid.

Also I'm still amused that Tom's Hardware can't get media espresso to work. They show all the NVIDIA cards at exactly :39 and the 7770 at 1:03. Thanks for actually showing a working benchmark! (as opposed to Tom's which I feel is deceptive)

Their numbers are clearly incorrect. Thanks.
