Default Dated PSU for z87 Mobo...?

Hi all,

Is it safe to use a old platform PSU such as the ENERMAX NAXN 850W 80+ for socket 1150 Mobo(s)?

I'm aware that it is an OEM and does not support C6/C7 state but I'm not very fussy in this department as long as it does not harm any of the PC's components.

Thanks in advance for your answers.

Hi all,

Never mind this question. There was a sale on the NAXN 850 and I was wondering if it could be used in my new build. Just bought a Corsair TX650 today... I get peace of mind as it is certified for LGA1150.

Regards.

Bugger! Guilty of acting too fast in my eagerness to put the build together and did not benefit from the sale. Found some info on Cooler Master's website regarding older PSUs for use with Haswell. Yes, older PSUs can be used on LGA1150.

Mmmm... the link goes live automatically...?
