Default Need a power supply for this PC

Motherboard: Asrock 970 Extreme 3
CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition 3.4Ghz
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 8 GB (4x4GB)
Video: Sapphire Radeon 6870 1GB GDDR5
Disco duro: Western Digital WD Blue WD5000AAKX 500GB 7200 RPM
Case: Cooler Master Elite 311

My old PSU was a Cooler Master eXtreme 600w, a lil bit of water felt on it.

Need a good PSU for this pc, thank you.

You should pick brands such as Corsair, XFX, and Seasonic. Cooler Master eXtreme is a piece of junk that can damage your components.

500 would be enough. Go with either a Seasonic S12II 520W, Seasonic G-550, or XFX Core edition 550W.

I agree with Gabriel's comments on the eXtreme powers. They are more like Cooler Disasters.

Purchased a CoolerMaster GX750 before I found hardwaresecrets.com. Pretty much regretted the purchase as it's non-returnable. Good only for up to 450w. Good thing I did not install it yet.

Will avoid all CoolerMaster PSUs in future.

The Silent Pros are OK, but the cheaper ones aren't very good.
