Default First time build - passive CPU cooling?

On the menu:

ASUS GRYPHON Z87 DDR3 1600 LGA 1150 Motherboard
Corsair Vengeance 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 1600 MHz (PC3 12800)
Intel Core i7-4770K Quad-Core Desktop Processor 3.5 GHZ 8 MB Cache
Silverstone Tek TJ08B-E Computer Case
Corsair Enthusiast Series TX650 650-Watt 80 Plus Bronze PSU

It's my first build, but I'm tempted to try passive cooling with the thing seeing that these "Haswell" CPUs are supposed to consume less power. The case comes equipped with a huge 180mm fan and an optional 120mm fan can be mounted on the rear panel. What would you recommend?

You could try it with a CM hyper 212. My Core i5 660 can be cooled just from the airflow in the case with the smaller Hyper TX3 (although the Antec 1200 does have more fans than most cases)

Thanks! That's just the CPU cooler I chose to order for my build. Depending on how the results turn out, and how much space there is in the case, I may opt later for one of the larger tower coolers designed specifically for passive cooling, like the Zalman job. I'm thinking with no 3.5" drives or fancy video card in the case, it should run pretty cool with the stock 180mm fan cooling everything.
