I can't say I approve of the use of Apaq and CapXon capacitors on a $280 board, even if they are polymer capacitors. Intel wouldn't have even saved $2 by using them!

what's the point of x8 x4 x4 for a $280 mobo I'd want atleast x16 x16 x0 and x8 x8 x8 why cant they just give us enough PCIe lanes and stop skimping never had the problem with PCIe 2.0

Yep. I agree 100% with both of you. It seems Intel added a huge premium in price just because of the Thunderbolt port. Even though this motherboard has a PLX switch chip, which is excellent to see.
