$200 Asus? Really???
This looks like a nice choice for office systems. Charge double the price of a cheap board, say $120-$140, but $200? Not hardly.

Default Asus Vanguard B85 article is inaccurate

Error 1: The B85 retails for $200.

Don't know how it's possible this mobo cost $200 when the author checked the price just eight months ago. The letter B in "B85" stands for "budget."

The B85 costs less than $100. It's $97 on Newegg right now, and $81.24 on Amazon. So either the price dropped by half in less than a year, or the $200 pricetag in the article was an error.

Error 2: You can't overclock with it.

Wrong. It's easy to overclock an unlocked CPU on the Asus Vanguard B85 motherboard.

There is no error.
1) It was the actual price on the launch ouf the product.
2) We did not say you cannot overclock it. We said that the B85 chipset has no official overclock support.
Thank you for reading the article!

Default I do not believe the B85 has ever retailed for $200

http://pricespy.co.uk/product.php?pu=2206521

The price history at price spy shows a high of 74 pounds (about $125 American) in September 2013.

Do you have a screenshot of the B85 retailing for $200?

...

What does "official" support for overclocking entail? There are overclocking options in the B85 BIOS. How does it get more official than that?

http://camelcamelcamel.com/ASUS-Micr...context=browse

Amazon Price History:

Current $96.89 Jul 12, 2014
Highest * $105.00 Mar 31, 2014
Lowest * $89.99 May 09, 2014
Average + $97.72

The B85 has never retailed for anything close to $200.
