Connecting computer to receiver
Hi I was looking to connect my computer to my receiver and have been able to get the audio working using this post here. http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/article/259
I am stuck on how do I go about connecting the video. my tv is connected to my receiver through an HDMI.
How do I go about getting the video from my computer to the TV? I tried connecting the computer using a VGA cord which goes in to the TV but then I don't get audio as the audio is connected to the receiver and I need to change the TV input from VGA (computer) to receiver in order to get the audio.
HOw do I get audio and video both at the same time?
Receiver model Sony STR DH 810

You should use the HDMI connection.
If your receiver isn't able to remove audio from HDMI, then you should use HDMI for video and SPDIF for audio: http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/artic...onnection/82/2
