What is the story about the PWM being digital? The Zilkerlabs ISL6367 is an anolog PWM. (they call it hybrid).

ASRock used to use digital ones from IR(CHiL). The brand Gigabyte among others uses.

Z77 Extreme4 is the board for me, but is the PWM any good?

The ISL6367 is actually manufactured by Intersil (it seems that Zilkerlabs is a division of Intersil). I couldn't find a lot information on it, only this datasheet for the ISL6627 driver chip, where on page 2 there is a typical configuration using the ISL6367, it is worth taking a look: http://www.intersil.com/data/fn/fn6992.pdf

The design is indeed analog, sorry about the mess. I am fixing the review right away.

The voltage regulator circuit is compatible with a mainstream product. If you want something more high-end, you will need to pick a different motherboard.
