Default Custom Build not turning on

I'm self taught computer wise, so I'm no expert. But -- I've built 20 - 25 (at least) and haven't been stuck in years !! But -- I'm stuck now and need some help. My build consist of a Antec 902 case, Asus AM2 board, 6 core 1065 CPU, Corsair H60, 4 x 4 gig DDR 3 1333 Crucial, 1 TB WD Sata 7200, LG DVD Rom Sata, LG DVD-RW Sata, a PNY DDR3 1 Gig PCI-E card, and a Seasonic semi modular 520 watt P.S.
Got it all together, but no power, not even from the green MB LED. Checked EVERYTHING, even piece by piece -- still nothing. Had a generic 500 watt PSU I wasn't using, so I tried it. Fired right up. RMA'd the Seasonic PSU, no problem.
New 1 came in, but same issue !! They BOTH can't be D.O.A !! So -- I have a question. The generic PSU has a single 4 pin MB connector, but the Seasonic has 2. ( 1 of the hard wired cables on the PSU ) I've tried both of them with no luck. So -- am I just stupid and need a Y-cable ( 8 pin to 4 pin) for the PSU ??
That's the only thing I can think of, but lots of people are alot more knowledgeable than I am !! So -- what am I missing here folks ??

I tried all of that before posting the threat, and even stated so in the thread. My only question was about the dual 4 pin MB connectors.

I couldn't understand very well what you have written, but I am assuming you are talking about converting an ATX12V (4-pin) into an EPS12V (8-pin) or vice-versa. The difference between them is just the total amount of current they can deliver to the CPU. You computer should be able to turn on with any of the two, so no Y adapter is required. I hope I have answered your question.
