Default Need advice for custom gaming pc

New to the forums here, so, hello
I need help configuring the components for my new gaming computer.
Here are the components im leaning towards;
CPU - Intel Core i7-3770K
Motherboard - Gigabyte Z77X-UD3H
Memory - 16GB (2x8GB) Corsair Vengeance 1600MHz DDR3 Low Profile
GPU - GTX 680
Case - Corsair Obsidian 650D
SSD - Samsung 840 Pro
Hard Drive - Seagate Barracuda 2TB 7200RPM
Optical Drive - OEM DVD Drive or OEM Blu Ray Drive
PSU - Corsair TX650M
CPU Cooler - H100 CPU cooler
OS - Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit
Capture Card - Avermedia C985 Live Gamer HD

For the capture card, the only reason i'd enjoy having it is to record footage of games i play. Not really interested in live streaming or anything of the sort. I guess my question is, if I choose not to get the Capture Card, what else could I put in this rig to boost the performance of this beast?
Also, if there is anything someone would add to this rig and/or upgrade, i'd like to know.
Thanks in advance,
Ross

I would get a Core i5 instead of a Core i7... Less money and about the same performance in gaming, as you will already have a high-end video card.

This. You'd get much more bang for your buck from a Core i5 3570K. Everythinbg else looks OK, though.

I had heard the i7 had hyperthreading, is this not necessarily needed for gaming?
If not, that 100 bucks could be spent towards something else.

The i7 does have hyperthreading, but it hardly makes a difference in games.
