Red face Video card set-up help

About a year ago, I built my nephew (cerebral palsey) a new computer. Nothing fantastic, but decent. (specs are -- thermaltake v-9 case, 500 watt corsair modular, asus board m4a78lt-m, 6 core amd 1090, 4x2 gig crucial 1333 ddr3, 1 tb western digital sata 3.0 hd, lg blu-ray drive, lg dvd-rw, 3.5 media card reader, a 22 inch hp hi - def monitor, onboard sound, and a 1 gig ddr 3 pny pci-e card. He games ALOT so I threw in a set of turtle beach headphones to boot. But - it needs a video upgrade, so I got a asus gtx - 660 that's 2 gigs of gddr5, and maxed him out at 16 gigs of Corsair Vengeance (4x4GB) DDR3 1600 MHz (PC3 12800) at 9-9-9-24 timing. It's still not world class, but I'd love some advice on the video card settings for the newest games, since I'm clueless, and want it to be as good as possible for him. Any and all suggestions welcome. Thanks for any info anyone can provide

The GeForce GTX 660 you installed is good enough for the average/casual gamer.

There are no settings to tweak on the card itself. Just install it and away you go.
No wonder it doesn't work! You installed the coils backwards!
