Default i use this psu

Hello.. i have one of these psu..it's a great psu.. and thanx to these thread now i know that it has 2 independent psu inside..

but can somebody help me.. if there's 2 psu inside, i wanna make sure i use both of em..not only one..coz i dont use all the cable slots.. and i dont think a solo 750 watt psu can power up my system(or damage my pc due to its insufficient power).. i use amd board s5, dual core 6400+ (overclocked @3.34ghz), gtx gigabyte 280, creative sound blaster x-fi platinum, 2 seagate barracuda 80gb, 1 SB 250 GB, 1 SB 500 GB, 1dvd Rw, 1 dvd rom..

and recently i had trouble with my 500GB..
sometime these errors just keep comin up..
than i use this program hard disk sentinel.. and it came with an analysis

"the problems occurer during the spin up of the disk this can be caused by the disk itself or huge powerload(weak power supply)" and it said that my 500 HD only got 13 days left..

now.. is it possible that it is bcause of the PSU?? maybe bcause i'm using only 1 cable to power up my 4 HD..so it's like one cable with 4 sata power slots, PSU--------+------+------+------+
80GB 80GB 250GB 500GB

and the last one to have the power is the 500GB, but supposedly i guess it is the one that really needs power..so it got insufficient power..

is it possible?
i've done nothing to my 500GB,and it's the newest..not even a year if i'm not mistaken..

any body can help me...??? coz i guess i'm going to buy a new HD, but this time a 1TB and i dont wanna end up losing it like my 500gb..

Please read page "power distribution" from the article.

Simply balance power usage and you will be fine.

Gabriel.

You are make a lot of confusion.

It seems that you are not talking about specifically about the reviewed power supply, are you? This thread is only for comments about our Thermaltake Toughpower 1500 W PSU article.

A bad-quality power supply can do bad stuff, including burning your hard drive.

Read our tutorial below to learn more about stability and noise.

And PLEASE open a new thread with your questions here:

Do not post doubts unrelated to this review on this thread.

Thanks,
Gabriel.

I finally posted HX1000W review, HX1000W and Toughpower 1500 W are IDENTICAL. See:

Ops. After seeing that this unit is identical to HX1000W I have to go back and say that it will work just fine. However, Thermaltake will be only selling this beast in Europe. Our you can simply buy Corsair HX1000W, it is the same product with a different name.

Sorry about the confusion.

Cheers,
Gabriel.
