Nice article and PSU, thanks for the test !

I know about the benefficts of modular cabling, but the ATX 24 cable really needs to be modular ?

Good question... Probably just a marketing hype, as everybody needs at least the main motherboard cable installed...

For HTPC usage customer might change to a shorter 24P cable, but that's not the case with this 900W unit.
