Fortunately I work on Cisco's a lot so the settings were basically the same but it was a little different working in a web browser and the nomenclature is a little bit different. | Junior Member Join Date: Jan 2009 Posts: 1 ![]() | I have a 5200 E242 SpeedStream modem. Don't have any doc or info on it. Perhaps it is a locked one by a telco(?) that distributed it. It is a hand-down I got from a friend. I would like to try to turn it into a router as described in your link. The explanation looks great but I am missing the initial steps as to how to *start* the upgrade on a modem that I have seemingly no way of logging into it. I am guessing, but doubtful, that I need its current IP address and login info in order to start the firmware download. Or do I? Thanks... |
