The switch from aluminium to steel is only beneficial. It's cheaper and better at reducing noise. The added weight seems like a non issue, since just about nobody buying a fulltower will think in terms of mobility anyway.

Too bad they removed the hot swap, since that feature if anything is more wanted for this case than by users of the GS1000.

According to Zalman this case should be arriving next week in the US market. I don't know if I was clear enough by that.

You can buy the hot swap connectors and install them, it was clear to me that they were removed in order to lower the price of the case.

But I think this case was a good idea: the exact same case on a different material, so the user can choose the material and price they prefer.

No word on pricing in Sweden yet, but the older and supposedly more expensive GS1000 cost an equivalent of about USD 140. That's $20 cheaper than Antec P183 (my current favourite case)...
